CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are looking for two men involved in an armed robbery early Friday morning.

Police say two men inquired about purchasing alcohol around 6:30 Friday morning at the Gate Station in the 4700 block of Monroe Road. The clerk informed the men that alcohol purchases couldn’t be made until 7 a.m. Then, police say, the two suspects waited for customers to leave the store, then approached the clerk, displayed handguns and demanded cash.

Suspect number one is described as approximately 25-years-old, 5-foot-9 tall, 170 pounds, with dark skin, short-cut hair, wearing a black hat with a shiny sticker on the brim, black sunglasses, black t-shirt and blue jeans with a design on the back pockets.

The second suspect is described as 24-years-old, 6-foot-2 or a bit taller, 175 pounds, with long dreadlocks, wearing all black clothing and a black White Sox baseball cap with the stickers still on the brim.
