I’m no weather girl, but I can tell you the weekend forecast includes good times when the sun goes down. Here’s a party forecast:

Friday

Bubble Charlotte’s long-awaited grand opening (210 E. Trade St.): The wait is finally over as the EpiCentre pops the cork on Charlotte’s new hot spot with a grand opening celebration at Bubble. The champagne bar will be poppin’ bubbly, but it also has a small-plate menu that made me salivate just reading it. The first toast will commence at 4 p.m. No cover. 704-733-9427.

Concerts in the Round at Piedmont Town Center (4725 Piedmont Row Drive): And the concert is just the half of it, as the bar and restaurant tenants of Piedmont make it an upscale bar crawl. I’ll be there to introduce this week’s band, Ken Knox and Co. (formerly known as Chairman of the Board). 7-11 p.m. Free. 704-570-1047.

Saturday

PJ Tucker’s NBA Celebrity Birthday Bash with DJ Clue at Re:Public (314 N. College St.): The Phoenix Suns player is throwing a zodiac party for his fellow Taureans, in Charlotte for some reason. 10 p.m.. $10 cover. 980-322-9859.

The Single vs. Married Improv Show at Actor’s Theatre of Charlotte (650 E. Stonewall St.): An organic comedy show where hilarity always ensues. 8 p.m. $10 online, $12 at the door. www.otcimprov.com.
