Problem with line forces Lynx to run shuttle buses into uptown

A problem with a piece of electrical equipment Sunday caused the Lynx light-rail service to close the line running into uptown.

Lynx was shuttling riders uptown by bus, but the line reopened about 3 p.m. Sunday

Workers were on the scene about 11 a.m. Sunday, just south of the Carson Street Station. A piece of the electrical line was snagged and was lying on the grass next to the tracks.

Here is the alert that was issued by Lynx:

CATS is currently experiencing a Rail (Blue Line) Alert.

Alert details:

The LYNX Blue Line will operate a bus bridge between the Scaleybark Station and the Ctc/Arena station until further notice while unexpected repair occur for disconnected panagraph.

Routes/Stations affected: LYNX Blue Line (501)
