I knew he was the one after that second date when he met Sophia, my daughter, for the first time, says Rachel Samuelson of her husband Jeremy McAdoo. The two met on E-Harmony, both fearing theyd never find the one. Six months later Rachel, Jeremy, and Sophia made the trip to Florida where Jeremy decided to plunge into a proposal. His biggest fear was that Id see the ring while going through airport security. To be honest I didnt even notice, says Rachel. As soon as they arrived Jeremys parents led them to the hot tub. Jeremy hid the ring in a towel, says Rachel, When he finally proposed he got down on one knee in the hot tub!
When putting together the wedding details, they had the advantage of professional experience. Rachel is the sales manager at the Holiday Inn Charlotte Center City and had formerly worked as their wedding specialist. Knowing how to plan a day that would flow smoothly, they started with a first look. That moment on the rooftop was for us, says Rachel. It didnt even seem like the photographers were there. It was our moment to just be together.
Throughout the weekend, Sophia also basked in the attention. I had no worries if he was going to be a good husband or father when I walked down the aisle, says Rachel. That moment he gave Sophia a necklace and said his vows to her, there wasnt a dry eye in sight. It may not have been the most traditional start but it is definitely perfect. Today they form an even greater family bond as they welcome baby number two into their lives and continue their journey as a family.Featured VendorsPhotography
