FBI searches for fugitive sex offender

The FBI Tuesday was searching for a fugitive registered sex offender after finding pornography at his home in Concord.

James Brian Webb, 43, cut off a tracking device after child pornography was found in his possession, according to an FBI news release.

He was last seen at his home in Concord on Monday.

Officers discovered child pornography images at the home and issued warrants for his arrest. He was wearing a GPD tracking device as the result of multiple sex offense convictions, authorities said.

He removed the tracker while in the town of Vale at approximately 7:15 p.m. Monday.

If you see Webb or know where he is, call FBI Charlotte at 704-672-6100 or the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office at 704-920-3000.
