Cyclist wrecks with school bus on Old Steele Creek Road

A cyclist was in the hospital with life-threatening injuries Wednesday after striking a school bus in the 2900 block of Old Steele Creek Road.

The wreck happened at 2:32 p.m, police said.

Medic took the victim to Carolinas Medical Center in Dilworth for treatment.

Eighteen students from Harding High School were on board the bus at the time of the wreck, WCNC-TV reported.

No one on the bus was hurt.
