Charlotte man sentenced in child porn case

A Charlotte man will spend 135 months in prison for possessing and transporting child pornography.

Robert Bove, 55, was sentenced Tuesday for sending images of children being sexually abused to an undercover detective via online chat in September 2010, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Using the screen name “luvsyourlittlegirl,” Bove sent images of toddlers engaged in sexual acts with adults to undercover officers in Wisconsin, authorities said.

The images were sent from his home computer in Charlotte.

During the sentencing hearing, the federal judge considered evidence that Bove had previously been the subject of a child pornography investigation in Colorado.
