Former McCrory aides on Peacock team

Charlotte mayoral candidate Edwin Peacock has signed on a team that helped fellow Republican Pat McCrory win the governor’s job last year.

Consultant Jack Hawke will be Peacock’s senior advisor. Hawke has been an adviser to three Republican governors and was McCrory’s chief strategist.

Russell Peck, McCrory’s campaign manager, will serve as Peacock’s manager and general consultant.

Peacock’s pollster will be Bill Lee of Telopinion Research, who did McCrory’s polling.

“I’m thrilled to have such a talented and experienced team working with me on our campaign to be Charlotte’s next mayor,” Peacock said in a statement. Jim Morrill
