Man wanted in two bank robberies

Mooresville police have released surveillance video of a suspect they hope the public can help them identify in Friday morning's attempted robbery of Fifth Third Bank, 329 N. Main St., shortly before 11 a.m.

Huntersville police said the same man is a suspect in the attempted robbery of a Fifth Third Bank at 500 Gilead Road shortly before 12:30 p.m. Friday. Police said the man demanded money from a teller and left with an amount of cash they aren’t disclosing.

The man is described as black, of dark complexion, 35 to 45 years old, about 200 pounds and having a goatee. He was wearing tinted glasses, a black knit hat, a black zip-up hooded jacket and dark cargo-style pants.

Anyone with information is asked to call Mooresville-South Iredell Crime Stoppers at 704-658-9056 or Mooresville police at 704-664-3311 or Huntersville police at 704-464-5400.
