5 hurt in Charlotte airport bus crash

Five people, including the driver, were injured Monday evening when an airport shuttle bus crashed into a parking deck at Charlotte Douglas International Airport, authorities say.

The “Park ‘N Go” shuttle, which is owned and operated by a private company, crashed into the West Daily parking deck wall and came to a stop after hitting a parked Chevrolet Tahoe. The crash was reported shortly before 9 p.m.

The victims were taken to Carolinas Medical Center, all suffering from minor injuries, according to first responders.

Police have not said what caused the crash.
