Brixx Wood Fired Pizza is gearing up to expand into Georgia, the Charlotte-born restaurant chain has announced.
Three new locations will open in the Atlanta suburbs of Peachtree City and Marietta, and in Athens, Ga. The new franchises, slated to hire about 40 people at each, are expected to open in November or December.
Neil Newcomb, president of Brixx Franchise Systems, said Brixx has been eager to expand into Georgia.
“We knew we’d need the right locations and the right ownership programs,” Newcomb said. “Now, we’ve got them.”
Tim Miner, director of marketing for the chain, said Brixx is continuing to talk to franchise prospects across the country, including regions beyond the southeast.
Brixx, which maintains a broad menu of pizza, beer and more, operates 21 locations across the Carolinas, Tennessee and Virginia. Brixx opened its first restaurant in 1998 in Dilworth.
