9-year-old Charlotte girl makes hole-in-one

Maggie Magner, 9, made her first hole in one on May 30, leaving most of the rest of us with no excuse.

Maggie used a pitching wedge to clear a pond from 65 yards out for a hole-in-one on Golf Village in Pineville’s par-3 ninth hole. It was her first time playing Golf Village, and only her third time playing an actual course.

“I think she’s a little spoiled now,” said her father, Patrick Magner.

“She seems to think, ‘Let’s go out and make another hole in one.’ All right, it’s not quite that easy.”

It was Maggie’s first hole in one.
