Providence Day wins 13 science medals

Providence Day School’s inaugural Elementary Science Olympiad team won 13 medals and a trophy from the North Carolina Science Olympiad (NCSO) elementary division competition. The team finished ninth among 66 participating in the grades 3-6 competition at UNC Charlotte.

Fourth-grader Ethan Paulk and fifth-grader Harrison Reid finished first in the “All in the Family” event. Fifth-graders Henry Rich and Dillon Sawyer won in “Secret Structures.”

Fifth-graders Louis Jorge and Will Mann were second in the “A Bug’s World” event; Ethan was third. Ethan and Nila Jayanetti were third in “Rock Stars.”
