Reusable ‘paper’ towels cut waste

Every home seems to have a paper towel fiend. Bambooee offers reusable, washable bamboo towels as a solution for stopping the waste.

Each sheet resembles a regular paper towel but is made from organic bamboo. The towels can be washed up to 100 times and then hung to dry. A 20-sheet roll sells for $10 and potentially can replace 286 rolls of conventional paper towels. Bambooee claims its towels are also stronger and more absorbent.

Bamboo continues to grow after the top growth has been harvested, making it a fast-growing, renewable resource. www.bambooee.com. Karen Sullivan
