Charlotte’s Olympic 2nd in business competition

A team of Olympic Community of Schools students from the School of Biotechnology, Health and Public Administration finished second in PwC's High School Business Challenge for a business plan they developed to promote Korean pop artists in the U.S. music industry.

Olympic received $40,000 for its schools for being the runner-up in the event, which featured more than 71 student teams nationwide.

The team used skills introduced by teachers and mentors such as budgeting, financial planning and market research to create the company, “Best Choice for Specialized K-Pop (BCSK) Entertainment,” which included marketing analysis and strategies, a financial plan and a risk management study.
