All Observer First Team

Attack: Amy Collins, Marvin Ridge, Jr. – Big-time goal scorer, with 124 goals this season, and has one more year to break her own records.

Attack: Taylor Vaccaro, Lake Norman, Jr. – Among state’s best again in both goals (97) and assists (43). Savannah College of Art and Design commit.

Attack: Carly Vaccaro, Lake Norman, Fr. – Taylor’s younger sister was close behind with 95 goals.

Attack: Cheyenne Burnam, Weddington, Jr. – Syracuse commit had a big year with 70 goals.

Attack: Victoria Richardson, Fort Mill, Sr. – All-American was also S.C. High School League’s attacker of the year.

Attack: Grayce Anderson, Charlotte Latin, So. – Anderson was an all-state player for the Hawks.

Attack: Dalton Nicholson, Myers Park, Sr. – Nicholson notched 76 goals for the Mustangs.

Mid: Natalie Wallon, Charlotte Catholic, So. – Already one of state’s best with 99 goals.

Mid: Taylor Malseed, Marvin Ridge, Sr. – Led the state in assists with 76, and also had 61 goals.

Mid: Rachel Valocchi, Lake Norman, Jr. – Wildcats’ playmaker had 33 goals and 39 assists.

Mid: Hanna Kruger, Charlotte Country Day, Sr. – All-state Buc had 59 assists and a team-high 60 goals, including game-winner in state title game ... Amherst (Mass.) signee.

Mid: London Vaughn, Charlotte Country Day, Sr. – Another all-state pick controlled midfield for Bucs.

Defender: Kourtney Jones, Lake Norman, Sr. – Conference 7 Player of the Year had a team-high 17 takeaways.

Defender: Julia Shaw, Charlotte Catholic, Sr. – Did a bit of everything for Cougars with 25 goals, 17 assists, 31 groundballs, 45 draw controls, and 20 takeaways.

Defender: Anna Kate Smith, Charlotte Country Day, Sr. – All-state senior helped Bucs to unbeaten season and state title.

Defender: Caroline Lewis, Fort Mill, Sr. – Helped lead Yellow Jackets to Class-AAAA semifinals.

Goalkeeper: Shannon Martin, Lake Norman, Sr. – A big key in the goal all season ... Mercer University signee.
