First Team

Attack: Nick Sawyer, Charlotte Catholic, Sr. – All-American, all-state pick had 45 goals, 21 assists, now heads to Loyola (MD).

Attack: Mitch Russell, Fort Mill, Jr. – Duke signee took Yellow Jackets to AAAA state runner-up finish.

Attack: Steve Onak, Providence Day, Sr. – Siena signee was an all-state pick again for state runner-up Chargers.

Attack: Will Donohue, Charlotte Latin, Sr. – All-state attacker finished 6th all-time in Latin scoring, including 122 career goals, 31 of which came this season, Dennison commit.

Attack: Jonah Moore, Marvin Ridge, Jr. and Reid Foley, Myers Park, Sr. – Moore was all-state pick with 46 goals, 44 assists, Furman commit; Foley, an Air Force signee 42 goals for Mustangs.

Mid: Connor Flynn, Charlotte Catholic, Sr. – All-American had 28 goals, 26 assist to lead Cougars.

Mid: Mike Hart, Hough, Sr. – SUNY Cortland signee had team-best 59 goals this season.

Mid: Drew Ortiz, Myers Park, Sr.. – Mustangs’ senior also plays attack, but can be effective (51 goals, 34 assists) all over the field, High Point signee.

Mid: Zach Martin, Marvin Ridge, Jr. – Mercer signee was 1st-team, all-West Region pick

Mid: Shane Gottberg, Lake Norman, Jr. – All-state midfielder won 75 percent of his faceoffs.

Mid: Carson Song, Charlotte Latin, Soph. – All-state pick had 60 assists and 42 goals, including the state championship game winner, also first Latin player to score over 100 points in a season.

LSM: Brendon McCarthy, Lake Norman, Jr. – All-state pick with long stick for Wildcats.

Defender: Kyle Gradert, Lake Norman, Sr. – All-state shutdown defender a big key to Wildcats’ state runner-up finish.

Defender: Ryan Beltrondo, Charlotte Catholic, Jr. – Cougars’ lockdown defender earned all-state honors.

Defender: Jake Chandler, Providence Day, Jr. – All-state pick the key to Charger defense, Bryant College commit.

Defender: Jason Moore, Marvin Ridge, Jr. and Ian Radcliff, Lake Norman, Sr.. – Both players took home all-state honors for their defensive prowess, Moore committed to Furman..

Goalkeeper: Reilly McDermott, Marvin Ridge, Jr. – All-state goalkeeper also Conference 12 player of the year, saved 67 percent of shots on goal, Furman commit.

Goalkeeper: Mitch Renfrow, Providence Day, Jr. – Air Force commit was all-state pick.
