Ambria Hoskins, Aleksander Sandifer and Kristopher Sandifer of Charlotte; Grace Burden of Fort Mill; and William Hubbard of Matthews were awarded the Everett and Trudy Suddreth Scholarship for $2,500 from the Carolinas Food Industry Council.
Ambria, a two-year recipient of the award, will be returning to Virginia State University. Aleksander recently graduated from Phillip O. Berry Academy of Technology and has been accepted to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His brother, Kristopher, a four-year recipient of the award, will be entering his fourth year at UNC Chapel. Grace, a recent graduate of Fort Mill High, will attend Clemson. William, a recent graduate from Porter Ridge High, has been accepted to Liberty University.
Scholarship applicants must be the child of a permanent, full-time employee of a retail, wholesale or supplier CFIC member company for at least one year, or students who have been an employed for at least six months part-time with a CFIC retail, wholesale or supplier member company.
