Troopers seek tips on Cabarrus hit-and-run death

More Information

State troopers are seeking help identifying a hit-and-run driver who killed a 35-year-old Cabarrus County woman early Saturday.

Brandi Bost was found dead at 4:30 a.m. on Center Grove Road near the intersection with Penninger Road, said N.C. Highway Patrol Sgt. G.A. Barger. He said Bost, who is single, lived next door to her mother on Penninger Road, less than a mile from where she was hit. The area is northeast of Concord and southeast of Kannapolis.

Bost was last seen at a friend’s house around 3:30 a.m. She apparently left there, ran her car into a ditch on Hilton Lake Road and was walking home on a poorly lighted rural road when she was hit, Barger said. The investigation has turned up no traces of the vehicle that hit her, he said.

Investigators believe the hit-and-run vehicle will have damage to the front end. Anyone with information is asked to call Barger or Trooper D.J. Eggers at 800-233-3151.
