2 dead, no suspects sought in Concord shootings

Concord police say they are not seeking any suspects in a Tuesday afternoon shooting that left two people dead and another injured at a home in the northwest part of the city.

The shooting was reported about 3:15 p.m., police said, at a home in the 400 block of Gibson Drive. That is near Freeze Avenue, in a residential district.

Officers found a man and woman shot to death at the home. Another man was injured and taken to CMC-NorthEast, but that person is expected to survive, police say.

Investigators say they believe everyone involved in the shooting was found at the scene. No charges have been filed, and the names of those killed or wounded have not been released.

A neighbor told WCNC-TV, the Observer’s news partner, that a fourth person was inside the house but not hurt.
