A woman is accused of trying to steal cell phones with two accomplices and biting a security guard at a Gastonia Target on Tuesday, according to police.

Gastonia police said three women tried to steal 10 cell phones from the Target on Cox Road.

A security guard at the store stopped the women around 6 p.m. after they tried to walk out without paying for the phones.

One of the suspects bit the security guard while trying to get away, according to police.

Holly Kindell, Titiana Smith and Danielle Gamble were all charged with felony larceny.

Gamble was also charged with assault for biting the store security guard.
