Monday morning traffic update

Collisions are being reported in a few spots this Monday morning across the Charlotte region, and traffic delays are being noted at 8 a.m.

Police are working to clear a crash on southbound Interstate 77 near Clanton Road. That incident is causing very slow southbound traffic.

Here is the 8 a.m. update:

I-77 southbound, Lake Norman area ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Exit 35 (Brawley School Road) down to Exit 19 (I-485).

I-85 southbound, Cabarrus County ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Exit 56 (George Liles Parkway) down to Exit 46 (Mallard Creek Church Road).

I-77 southbound, south Charlotte ... Collision at 7:50 a.m., between West Boulevard and the Billy Graham Parkway. Left lane blocked. Moderate to heavy delays.

Providence Road inbound ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-30 mph from Arboretum up to Woodlawn Road.

I-485 inner loop, south Mecklenburg ... Congestion; traffic moving 10-20 mph from Providence Road to I-77.

I-77 northbound, south Charlotte ... Congestion; traffic moving 25-35 mph from Carowinds Boulevard up to Woodlawn Road.

Billy Graham Parkway ... Congestion; traffic moving 15-25 mph on the outer loop (southbound), between Morris Field Road and I-85.

U.S. 321, Gaston County ... Congestion; traffic moving 20-30 mph from Dallas down to I-85.

Providence Road at Lancaster Highway ... Traffic signals not working properly at 7:35 a.m.

Harris Boulevard at Independence Boulevard ... Collision at 7:50 a.m.; minor delays.

East Boulevard at South Boulevard ... Traffic signal not working.
