Truck wrecks on I-85, but no injuries

A tractor-trailer wrecked early Thursday morning on Interstate 85 near the I-485 ramp, blocking the ramp and a travel lane for more than three hours.

No injuries were reported, however, and authorities were able to reopen the roadway by 5:30 a.m.

The single-vehicle wreck took place about 2:30 a.m. on the northbound side of I-85 in northeast Mecklenburg County, according to the N.C. Highway Patrol. Troopers say the truck jacknifed, then slid into a concrete wall on the side of the road.
