Woman is 2nd person charged in Caldwell death

LENOIR – The Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 33-year-old woman in connection with the death of a Lenoir man whose body was discovered June 20.

Investigators say Jenny Lynn Childress, of Lenoir, was charged with murder in the case. She is scheduled for a first court appearance Thursday in Caldwell County.

The resident of a house on Flintstone Court near Lenoir found the body of Raoul Dula in his front yard. Deputies say Dula had been slashed to death.

Earl Franklin Moore Jr., 34, of Lenoir, was charged with Dula’s death a few days later. Caldwell County authorities have not said whether there was some connection between Moore, Childress and Dula.
