The Kannapolis Firefighters’ Assistance Foundation, in conjunction with Kannapolis Fire Department, recently honored 20 former personnel at its second annual retiree breakfast. The event, held June 29 at Kannapolis Fire Station No. 1, recognized retired or former Kannapolis-area fire department personnel. In addition to a firehouse breakfast, attendees got a Kannapolis Fire Department coffee mug, shared stories and took a group photo in front of the fire station. Brad Jordan, president of the KFAF, said it’s important to stay connected to past personnel. “Without these past members, we wouldn’t be where we are today,” he said. “We think they should be remembered and remain a part of this organization. We can’t forget where we came from.”To become a member of the KFAF, or to learn more, contact Brad Jordan at firstname.lastname@example.org. Lukas Johnson
