White is originally from Washington, Ill., where her love for the church began. She graduated from Augustana College in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in sociology/social work and a minor in psychology. Shortly after, she served as director of children and youth ministry while attending Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary. Through these experiences, together with a variety of mission opportunities and guidance from her mentor pastor, she began her call into ministry, which led her to Columbia to obtain her Master of Divinity degree.
