A 53-year-old Concord woman who was killed in a two-car accident Friday morning in Cabarrus County may have been under the influence of opiates, officials said.
The woman, whom officials have not yet identified pending notification of family, was driving south in the wrong lane on Old Salisbury Concord Road around 11:46 a.m. Friday when she struck another vehicle head-on,said Highway Patrol Trooper Blake Fisher
The accident happened between Camp Julia and Sapp roads.
Fisher said officials found Vicodin and other prescription pills in the woman’s car at the time of the crash.
