Pineville police seek kiosk theft suspect

Pineville police are asking the public’s help in identifying a man they suspect was responsible for thefts inside Carolina Place Mall shortly after closing late last month.

The thefts apparently took place about 6:40 p.m. June 30, a Sunday evening. Police say that was 40 minutes after the mall’s stores closed.

A number of communication devices were reported stolen from two kiosks where mobile phones are sold. Surveillance video shows a man who might have been involved in the thefts.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Pineville police at 704-889-2231.
