Randy Travis’ brother facing meth charges

David Brownlow Traywick, younger brother of country singer Randy Travis, was in jail Wednesday in Union County, accused of running a methamphetamine operation.

Traywick, 50, was arrested along with his wife, Jessica, and another woman, according to the sheriff’s office, during a search late Tuesday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says the lab was being operated at Traywick’s home, in the 6300 block of Fountain Hill Church Road, north of Marshville.

Traywick was arrested Sept. 13 on meth charges. Those charges are apparently pending.

The arrests come as Travis is in a Texas hospital, recovering from a heart infection and a stroke.

The sheriff’s office says Traywick was charged with conspiracy to traffic methamphetamine and trafficking methamphetamine. Jessica Dawn Traywick, 45, faces the same charges. Each is jailed in Union County under $500,000 bond.

According to the sheriff’s office, Christina Marie Stegall, 30, also was arrested during the search. She faces the same charges and is being held under $250,000 bond.
