Charlotte area checkpoint nets 30 charges overnight

An overnight DWI check station resulted in 30 charges for various infractions, including seven DWI arrests.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, N.C. State Highway Patrol and Mecklenburg County Alcoholic Beverage Control Board law enforcement participated in the checkpoint, held on Park Road near Archdale from 11 p.m. Thursday through 3 a.m. Friday.

In addition to DWI arrests, other charges include:

Driving while license revoked: 2

No operators license: 3

Other traffic (tags, inspections, etc.): 17

Drug charges: 1
