Uptown Democrats to discuss the airport

It’s the story of the moment in Charlotte. And Wednesday the future of Charlotte Douglas International Airport will be the topic at the Uptown Democratic Forum.

City Manager Ron Carlee, Mayor Pro Tem Patrick Cannon and City Attorney Bob Hagemann will update the fight between the city and the state over the airport moves under control of an authority. The forum is hosted by Mecklenburg commissioners’ Chair Pat Cotham.

The forum starts at noon at the Levine Museum of the New South, 200 E. 7th St. RSVP to patcotham@gmail.com or call 704-506-3056. Lunch is $10.

The event is open to the public. Jim Morrill
