Library shares seeds with patrons

You already knew you can check out more than books at the library.

The new Seed Sharing Library at the Main Library in Akron, Ohio, is a resource for distributing mainly heirloom vegetable seeds.

Users choose envelopes from a repurposed card catalog. The seeds don’t have to be returned.

All the library wants to do is encourage people to grow and eat healthful foods. But it will welcome donations of seeds produced by veggies its patrons grow.
