MomsCharlotte hosting free back-to-school event

Join MomsCharlotte.com for the Back-to-School Smoothie Taste Off.

Swing by the Baby Grocery Store, 10225 Park Road, 1-3 p.m. Aug. 17 and get smoothie recipes for breakfast, after-school snacks or on-the-go healthy meals. Recipes will feature Dr. Sears’ Signature Green Smoothie, Dr. Oz’s Berry Healthy Smoothie and Dr. Blaylock’s Coconut Brainy Smoothie.

Certified Health Coach Terri Murray with Carolina Health Coaching will be on hand for more smoothie recipes and other quick, healthy snack and meal ideas. Kids are welcome.

The event is free, but donations for Bright Blessings’ Bless-A-Baby program will be accepted. Most-needed items include diapers, rectangular laundry baskets, sleepers, hooded bath towels, burp cloths, pacifiers, receiving blankets, diaper bags, giant gift sacks and outfits for newborns.
