Florida construction firm expanding into Charlotte

ODC Construction, an Orlando-based shell construction contracting firm, announced Tuesday that it is opening a Charlotte office after buying a Tampa-based construction company.

ODC said it is launching a Charlotte division after buying Tampa-based Farro Construction. That firm’s former owner, Mike Farro, will lead the new Charlotte office. A spokeswoman said the firm expects to have 50-75 employees in the Queen City by the end of the year.

“This was a one-of-a-kind opportunity for both companies,” said Isaac Lidsky, CEO of ODC.

ODC builds concrete foundations, masonry wells and framing for construction projects. It has offices in Orlando and Tampa and recently expanded to Columbia, S.C.
