Mint Hill police seek robbery suspect

Police in Mint Hill are looking for a man who robbed a convenience store at gunpoint last weekend.

The robbery was reported about 10 p.m. Friday at the Friendly Food Mart, near Mint Hill’s common border with Charlotte and Matthews. That is near the Idlewild Road-Margaret Wallace Road intersection.

Investigators say a man walked into the store, took a number of items, and ran toward Idlewild Road.

The suspect is a black male in his early to mid 20s. He was wearing a silver watch on his left hand, a black T-shirt and black pants, and a purple Toronto Raptors ball cap.

Anyone with information in the case is asked to call Mint Hill police, 704-545-1085.
