MeckEd forum tackles education changes, CMS bonds

N.C. education funding, actions of the 2013 legislative session and an upcoming Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bond vote are up for discussion at an Aug. 15 community conversation hosted by MeckEd.

The nonprofit advocacy group hosts a series of discussions about education topics. The latest, titled “Where We Were, Where We Are: What’s Next?” will kick off the 2013-14 school year.

The free event is from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at the Novant/BB&T Building, 108 Providence Road. RSVP to Shana Phillips, sphillips@mecked.org.
