Charlotte-area commuters will find soggy streets and a few traffic headaches during the morning commute.
Congestion on Interstate 77 near uptown is slowing cars, though an earlier wreck near Clanton Road has been cleared up.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were reporting several tie-ups on major thoroughfares in Charlotte.
• The Billy Graham Parkway at Morris Field Drive is blocked because of a collision.
• A traffic light is malfunctioning at Independence Boulevard and Idlewild Road.
• In South Charlotte, Sharon Amity Road is blocked near Monroe Road because of a collision.
• A wreck has also slowed traffic on South Boulevard near Tyvola Road.
Commuters across the Charlotte region saw wet streets, and the rest of the week won’t be much different. Tuesday is the first of four days that have precipitation in the forecast.
Tuesdays high will be 86 degrees and temperatures will remain in the 80s until Friday, when they’re expected to hit 90.
