The winner: I live in a townhome that has a narrow two-car garage. For the car parked on the left, it’s always difficult to open the doors to get in or to get out, as the door almost always butts up to the garage wall. To avoid chips on the driver’s-side door, I put self-sticking corkboard on the garage wall where the door would hit it. It’s thin and shock absorbent and prevents chips. And the placement of the cork board acts as a guide on how far to pull in. Heidi Kramer, Charlotte
Newspaper works, too!
I use maps and magazine spreads to wrap gifts of all kinds. This is a spread from the National Wildlife Federation magazine. Anne Marie Radke, principal, Piedmont Middle School in Monroe
Electric razor trick
Norelco razors are hard to clean. I use a spray from a compressed air can. Problem solved. Ed Pappert, Charlotte
