Searching for flea markets? Try this website

By Jen Leo

FleaQuest – www.fleaquest.com – offers a nationwide directory for vintage markets, salvage centers, flea markets and more.

What’s hot: You can search by state or by distances of five to 50 miles from an American city.

When I tested my hometown of Carlsbad, Calif., I was excited to find all sorts of vintage shops I hadn’t heard of. You can even get a Google map and directions to their locations. I searched travel destinations I was headed to, and sure enough, I had a list of shops ready for me.

What’s not hot: The Filtering Results bar was inconsistent. Keyword Search for destinations almost never worked for me; nor did Road Trips & Events. When I individually selected other events, such as Flea Markets and Antique Shows, Vintage Occasional Sales, etc., and cleared everything so there were no state or date specifics, I still didn’t get any results. However, when I inserted a state or a city with a radius, that worked great.
