McDonald’s Scholars named

Charlotte-area students and others from North Carolina were honored recently at the Ronald McDonald House of Charlotte. Each was awarded a $1,000 scholarship from Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Carolina and area McDonald’s owner/operators for outstanding academic achievement and community involvement.

James Brooks of Charlotte received both the RMHC scholarship and the Ray Kroc Youth Achievement Award Scholarship, the latter given to McDonald’s employees.
