Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 10-year-old who investigators believe was taken by an unknown woman in a dark blue minivan.

Police are trying to locate Symiir Issa Speaks. He’s approximately 4-feet-5, weighs 60 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a yellow and gray polo shirt with khaki shorts. And he was wearing black and orange sneakers.

The alleged abduction happened after a custody dispute between a husband and his ex-wife Sunday afternoon at Bird Watch Lane in northwest Charlotte.

Police had little information about alleged abductor – a black woman with long hair and a dark skin complexion. They also don’t know the make or model of the minivan.

Police encourage anyone with information about Symiir’s abduction to call CMPD at 704-336-6943. Tipsters can also call 911 or *HP.
