UPPER BERN TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A Huntersville man was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle crash in central Pennsylvania, according to state police.

The coroner’s office in Berks County has identified the victim as Richard B. Aponte, 28. He died at the scene of the wreck, on Interstate 78 in Upper Bern Township.

The crash was reported shortly after 7:45 a.m. on westbound I-78, between Harrisburg and Allentown, about 100 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

According to police, the driver of a westbound car crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer. The car flipped and landed in the median.

Police say the truck driver, a 34-year-old man from Allentown, was not hurt. Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
