Alert issued for missing teen

SALISBURY The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has issued an alert for a 17-year-old runaway who police say might be endangered.

Charianna Butler has been missing since Aug. 10. She is black, 5-feet-7-inches tall and 140 pounds. She might wear braids in her hair and have black-rimmed glasses on.

No details have been released as to why she might be endangered.

Anyone with information is asked to call the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at 1-800-843-5678 (1-800-THE-LOST) or Salisbury police at 704-638-5333
