Union County gets new DSS leader

Rae Alepa has been named director of Union County’s Department of Social Services, county Human Services Executive Director Richard Matens announced Wednesday.

Alepa has worked as the social work program manager for the county’s Adult and Family Services for the past 2 1/2 years. Matens praised Alepa for her professionalism and dedication.

“We plan to work hard on all new initiatives, forge partnerships with the public and private sectors and help our organization overcome long-standing barriers that have prevented our customers from receiving the support they deserve,” Alepa said in a statement.
