Authorities found drugs and more than $1,000 cash during a traffic stop on Interstate 85 Thursday.
Anthony McMahon, 36, of Greensboro was stopped during a joint interstate enforcement by Rowan and Iredell County Sheriffs Offices.
Deputies reported the smell of marijuana coming from McMahons silver Acura and asked him to step out of his vehicle. When he did, deputies reported seeing a plastic bag sticking out of his waistband.
The bag contained about 26 grams of cocaine and a smaller bag with approximately one gram of marijuana, according to authorities, who also reported finding nearly $1,400 cash on McMahons person.
Authorities said McMahon was on probation from a 2012 felony conviction for possession of cocaine in Guilford County.
McMahon was arrested and charged with possession with intent to sell or deliver schedule II, cocaine; misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McMahon was placed under a $20,000 secured bond by a Rowan County Magistrate Judge.
