Covering the 49ers

David Scott has been with the Charlotte Observer since 1979 and is in his fourth year of covering Charlotte 49ers athletics. Scott has covered college football, college basketball, the Carolina Panthers, the Charlotte Bobcats, golf, soccer and motorsports.

Television

All 49ers home games will be shown live on WCCB, Channel 18. The broadcast team features Ryan Rose (play-by-play), Kenny Moore (analyst), Brandon Davidow (sideline) and Kelli Bartik and Jon Wilson (features).

Rose has done play-by-play for ACC and Big East football and basketball games for seven years on ESPN3 and has also called arena football, U.S. Olympic diving trials, the Shrine Bowl and other high school and college sports. Rose also is an assistant sports information director for the 49ers.

Moore is a former Butler High and Wake Forest wide receiver who played for the Carolina Panthers from 2008-10.

Davidow and Bartik are sports anchors at WCCB. Wilson has had several on-air roles at the station since 2004.

Radio

All 49ers games will be on WGZV (730-AM). Matt Swierad, the longtime voice of Charlotte 49ers basketball, will provide play-by-play, with former Panther Kevin Donnalley doing color commentary and Bobby Rosinski on the sidelines. A pregame show for home games will be broadcast with Lanny Ford and Mario Washington.
