We all know that I love Disney, and over the last few years, our home has been gradually accumulating Disney memorabilia. Luckily, I have a very patient husband who understands my needs (and has a room full of nostalgic games to fulfill his own nerdy side). For this week's blog, I thought I'd share a little of my Disney decorating side. They are two of the hobbies I'm most passionate about and when I get the chance to put them together. . . let's just say I get a little carried away.
Best of Mickey Mouse Utensils These utensils are where the Disney decorating all began. My mum brought me a measuring cup set and I was hooked. I'm a huge fan of quirky things for my kitchen, and when you toss in the Disney aspect, it's all over. I don't use them to cook with, but I love hanging them over the doorway as pictured above. These can be found on The Disney Store online, along with a bigger selection from the same collection.
Hallmark Plaque I love Hallmark's Disney collections. When you're an adult trying to buy Disney decor, it's not always easy to find something. The images on these plaques are gorgeous and the quote selections perfect for a variety of tastes. I put this one in the middle of our Walt Disney World vacation gallery.
Italian Art Print by Brian Blackmore I picked this up from the Italy pavilion in EPCOT, but the collection is also available from The Disney Store online. I love the vintage Italian look and that Goofy is spinning a pizza! As pizza is my hubby's favorite food, I thought it would lessen the blow of yet another Disney item being added to our home. We don't have a place for it yet, but as soon as we have a dining room or kitchen dining area, this print will be put up.
Tick Tock Crocodile Clock I don't know if this one needs any explanation. I thought this clock was too neat for me not to buy it. Kitchen towels and pot holder set You may have noticed by now that my kitchen/dining area gets the most Disney love. Not only is it the easiest area to find decor for adults, but the accents are so well made. I particularly enjoy the witty remarks on these towel/pot holder sets. I picked these up from Walt Disney World, but they can be ordered by calling 877-560-6477 or by searching on Amazon. How do you display your passions throughout the house? Anyone share a Disney obsession with me? Share your favorite ways to display your passion on my Facebook page. I'm all about adding new people!
