Authorities said they’ll resume their search Sunday morning for a boater who went into the water Saturday afternoon and did not resurface.

The individual jumped into the lake around 5:30 p.m. near the I-77 Exit 33 area, said an Iredell County Sheriff’s Department dispatcher who identified himself as Webster.

Mount Mourne Fire Department, Mooresville EMS and a dive team from Charlotte assisted in the search for the missing person, the dispatcher said. But around 9 p.m., the search was called off until Sunday morning.
