Stanly County man faces burglary charges

A Stanly County man was arrested earlier this week on charges related to several burglaries, according to the sheriff’s office.

Jonathan Woods, 42, of Norwood, was jailed under $32,500 bond after being arrested Wednesday. Authorities say a joint investigation by the sheriff’s office and Norwood police linked Woods to burglaries in both jurisdictions.

The sheriff’s office charged Woods with felonious breaking and entering and felonious larceny after breaking and entering. Norwood police charged him with four misdemeanor larceny charges.

The sheriff’s office says Woods also was wanted by Rowan County authorities for alleged probation violation.
