Police have arrested two men and a woman in connection with an east Charlotte bank robbery Wednesday morning.
George Rinnix Jr. 48, Corby Talbert, 35, and Tiffani Robinson, 25, were taken into custody and were being interviewed by robbery detectives Wednesday evening.
Police were called to the First Citzens bank on Albemarle Road near East W.T. Harris Boulevard around 9 a.m.
Witnesses told investigators that two men with guns entered the bank and demanded money and property from employees. They took the money and fled in a car they stole from a bank employee, police said.
Officers used the police helicopters and search dogs as they tried to locate the suspects. Police say they located the vehicle unoccupied a short time later. They say they found the men who committed the robbery traveling in a different car, which was driven by Robisnon.
When officers tried to conduct a traffic stop, they say the vehicle sped off. Officers followed the car until it became disabled, although officers havent said how. All three suspects were taken into custody without incident.
